One Meaningful Session. A Clearer Path Forward.

Sometimes one powerful conversation is all you need to feel lighter, more grounded, and clear on what comes next.

Why I Offer Single Session Therapy

I know how hard it can be to reach out for help — especially when you're overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure whether therapy is even right for you.

That’s why I offer Single Session Therapy — not as a “quick fix,” but as a powerful, intentional space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Sometimes, one focused session is enough to bring clarity, relief, or even just a sense of “Okay… I can do this.”

I believe in giving people real tools, not just endless conversations that go nowhere. I don’t want you to feel like therapy is something you have to do forever. I want it to be something that works — something that supports real change.

Whether you're here because you're navigating something specific, feeling emotionally stuck, or just want to try therapy without the pressure of a full commitment — this space is for you. We’ll meet for one meaningful session and see what unfolds. You’re always welcome to return, but my hope is that even one hour with someone who’s fully present, grounded, and focused on you can make a difference.

You deserve support that honors your time, your energy, and your capacity. And if this is the only session we ever have, I want it to feel like it mattered.

What to Expect

During your session, we’ll:

  • Identify the core issue or concern that brought you here.

  • Clarify your goals or what “better” would like for you.

  • Explore internal and external blocks.

  • Tap into your strengths and insights.

  • End with a concrete next step or takeaway.

The GOAL is that you will leave with more clarity, a shift in perspective, and a deeper sense of connection to yourself.

Why Single Session Therapy Works

It’s not about doing EVERYTHING in one session - it’s about doing the right thing for right now. This approach is strength-based, solution focused, and rooted in the belief that you already carry wisdom and resilience - sometimes, you just need a little help accessing it.

FAQ

  • Sometimes, yes. While therapy can be an ongoing process, many people find that just one focused session gives them the clarity, validation, or action steps they need right now. It’s not about fixing everything — it’s about moving forward from where you are.

  • We’ll start by identifying what you’d like support with. From there, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, look at what’s already working, and co-create a path forward. You’ll leave with insight, tools, and at least one clear next step.

  • Yes — absolutely. While this is designed as a stand-alone session, you’re welcome to book another if needed. Some people return every few months for a “reset,” while others decide to pursue short-term or ongoing support.

  • That’s okay. Many clients arrive feeling unsure. The beauty of this session is that it meets you exactly where you are — even if that means starting with confusion or overwhelm.

  • Single Session Therapy is more focused and goal-oriented. It’s ideal for addressing one primary issue, gaining clarity, or navigating a decision or life stressor. It doesn’t involve a full intake or treatment plan and doesn’t require long-term commitment.

  • Yes. You’ll get a follow-up email with reflection prompts, grounding tools, and a summary of insights.

  • You are welcome here. If you’ve experienced these thoughts in the past or are currently struggling with them — this session may still be helpful.

However, if you are currently feeling unsafe or at immediate risk, please contact emergency support. This session is not a substitute for crisis care, and your safety is the top priority.

  • Absolutely. This is a great way to explore what therapy might feel like, especially if you’re unsure about long-term work or have never seen a therapist before. Think of it as a no-pressure introduction to therapy.

  • This may not be the right fit if you:

    • Are in immediate crisis or feel unsafe

    • Need complex, long-term mental health treatment

    • Require formal assessments, letters, or reports

  • Most insurance companies mandate which professionals are approved to provide therapeutic counselling services.

As a Canadian Certified Counsellor wit the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, I am committed to providing quality services to the client.

Canadian certification is a national service that identifies to the public those counsellors who CCPA recognizes as qualified to provide counselling services in Canada. Obtaining the status of Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) includes recognition of standards of professional preparation, continuing education, and a formal code of ethics.

You may be able to claim services through Blue Cross, Manlike, Sun Life (Public Services HCP), Canada Life, Green Shield Canada, and Desjardins Insurance. Just to list a few.

Insurance companies that have a “Health Spending Account” and other policies or EAPs, may also cover a portion of counselling services depending on the exact policy you hold.

*I encourage you to call your provider prior to booking your appointment to be sure.
