Grief & Loss Counselling in Okotoks & Calgary, Alberta & Area
Gentle, grief-informed support to help you feel less alone.
You’re not broken. You’re grieving, and that deserves space, compassion, and care. You may have lost a partner, parent, friend, dream, or part of yourself. You might be “holding it together” for your family, while crumbling inside.
I offer trauma-informed, nervous system-aware grief therapy for those navigating a fresh loss or long-held pain. Grief isn’t always tied to death. It can arise from the loss of a relationship, a dream, your health, your identity, a sense of safety, or the life you thought you’d be living.
If something important has ended or changed, and it hurts, your grief is real, and it matters.
Numb, disconnected, or foggy.
Crying often - or unable to cry at all.
Angry, exhausted, or resentful.
Avoiding the pain or feeling overwhelmed by it.
High-functioning on the outside but hollow inside.
Wondering who you are now or what comes next.
What Grief Might Look or Feel Like For You…..
I offer a calm, grounded, and compassionate space to process grief in all its forms. My approach integrates talk therapy, nervous system awareness, somatic tools, and mindfulness to help you gently move through what you’re carrying - without forcing healing or rushing your emotions.
What this might look like:
Emotional processing (grief dialogue, story work)
Nervous system regulation (grounding, body awareness)
Trauma - informed grief care.
Identity exploration or reconnection.
Rituals, journalling, or reflection practices.
What to expect in sessions:
Our work together will move at your pace. There’s no pressure to be “okay.” You’ll have space to cry, talk, sit in silence, or explore what you’ve never said aloud. I’ll guide you with gentle questions, grounding tools, and deep compassion.
My approach to grief work is both professional and personal. I’ve experienced profound loss in my own life, and that journey deeply informs how I hold space for others. I understand the agony of grief not just through training, but through lived experience. If you’d like to learn more about my story, you can read it here on my About page.
If you’re ready - or just curious - let’s connect. It’s never too soon to begin your healing journey.
